James I. Melrose of Greenport died Aug. 6 at his home. He was 73.
Mr. Melrose was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Huntington.
A celebration of Mr. Melrose’s life will take place Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Greenport Shipyard.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
Arrangements were in the care of Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport.
